The Give Life Monsoon Marathon brings together Chennai's HR community, corporate organisations, runners and volunteers for something bigger than a race.

2007 Chennai's first international marathon We were there at the start. This run reconnects the city to that legacy.

Every registration, sponsorship and contribution supports a shared purpose: organising job fairs that help young people in rural areas and Tier 2 cities connect with employment opportunities.

GiveLife has already taken job fairs to Tirunelveli, Trichy and Chennai. Monsoon Marathon 2026 helps extend that work — pairing the energy of a beachside run with the practical hope of a job offer.

Start and finish on the sand at VGP Heritage Village. Chase the sunrise south along the East Coast Road — then come back to breakfast, medals and a cause worth running for.

  1. 5:30 AM Venue opens Bib and t-shirt collection at VGP Heritage Village.
  2. 6:15 AM Warm-up Mobility and music with the HR community on the beach.
  3. 6:35 AM 10.5 KM corrals Runners line up for the endurance run.
  4. 6:50 AM 5.5 KM corrals The joy run takes its place on the start line.
  5. 7:00 AM Flag-off Both distances start together — runners, walkers and teams.
  6. 8:15 AM Breakfast & recovery Fuel up, stretch out and swap stories at the finish.
  7. 8:45 AM Medal ceremony Celebrating finishers and the job fairs this run supports.
